RE: Gas Tank Only Filling Up To 3/4 Tank

I have the same problem. At certain gas stations I can not fill up over 3/4. It must have something to do with the hoses. ??????

RE: Spaciousness Hype

Your wife is right! Consider getting a larger class C with (2) slides for less money than that Coach House. Your wife will be happy and that in turn will make you happy! A 27' Coach House would be a nice traveler, but when it comes to spending extended time in a class C, I would much rather have a 32' or longer with multiple slides. Our deal is, I pick out the motor home and my wife picks out the floor plan, colors, and materials. I drive and she is my navigator. Bagman.
This is how we did it as well. The last time around I did all of the picking and lets just say it didn't last that long. Good Luck

RE: 1st trip AAR--Shakedown cruise on a used RV

Looks like you guys had a great time. Even with new motorhomes people come back with a things to do list. If you do lay carpet you can use plastic runners to help protect your carpet. Happy RV'ing.

RE: 2009 Fleetwood Tioga

we have the Fleetwood Jamboree 31m and love it. It's a dual slide one in the living area and one in the bedroom. we normally get between 8-10mpg, that should be standard. The fit and finish is great and my wife picked everything herself. The GT models give you a few more optoins. We went with the Ford 450 motor option.
I ope this helps

RE: Launching a boat with a class C

Here is a link to a Class A that did not fair that well. It just happened in LA on August 20, 2008 according to KNBC.COM. Maybe Class C's are immune to this malady.
I've seen this happen at Lake Elsinore where our launch ramps are very slick... I would invite your buddies with a truck to help launch you. Not all lakes have the same angle of entry.

RE: Party Games??

Hi.
Our daughter's birthday is on the 29th of this month, during Labor Day Weekend.
We're planning on going camping that weekend and we promised her a small birthday celebration for her birthday. We're taking a cake and a PiƱata (typical Mexican tradition).
There's going to be maybe 4 other families camping w/ a total of about 12 kids.
I need help coming up w/ some easy games to play w/ the kids for the celebration. This is the first time doing games for us.
What are some games we could play w/out too much hassle while camping??
Musical camping chairs, come to mind :B
thx!
My wife always does this stuff. She does pin the tale, they do crafts with painting (THE GIRLS LOVE THE CRFTS) top toss, and water balloons are fun.

RE: Wayward kids wandering into campsite

Try this "Ok, guys, thanks for playing. Time for you to go now!" Kids are used to being told what to do just tell them to leave in a confident voice and they'll scurry away! If they question you for why, just say "Our family has things to do now, so you need to go."
I make my kids recite my campground rules before getting out of the car! No walking in people's sites (I tell them to imagine walls around the edges of the whole site) No being loud after quiet time. No yelling in general. Never go into another campsite without an invitation, never go into another RV *EVER.* It's ok to say hello, even chit chat with neighbors but always stay where I can see you. Etc. I also make a point to at least catch the eye of our neighbors and tell them to please let me know if my kids are being too loud. So far, everyone has been very nice, said they enjoy watching kids play, mine aren't the loudest, etc. We've even even invited over for some marshmallows! I've also never had too much trouble with other people's kids or dogs. In one campground I had a huge problem with people just walking through to the bathroom which was baffling since the back of my site was a cliff! I specifically asked about it when I booked because it looked like a bad spot. The lady said "The site drops off in the back, no one will be walking there! They had to scale the hill to even get to my site to cut through it! It would have been easier to follow the road! Then they didn't so much as say hello as they walked between my trailer and the table and around my grill as I cooked dinner! Not kids though...these were grown ups! My kids were sitting there saying "Mom, but you said we should never do that!" We hung an impromptu 'clothes line' with rope along the back of the site making it more difficult to cut through and that seemed to work.
You're very responsible and other appreciate you for it. We always make sure our kids know the rules and follow them. They must respect others.

RE: Wayward kids wandering into campsite

People in general just don't have common sense any more.
We were parked in our RV at a casino parking lot- designated for RVs.
Another RV pulls up next to us about 15ft away, then their friend comes and parks his pickup between the two of us. The parking lot was totally empty, by the way.
We had about 4 ft to move around.
I just ended up packing everything up and moving further away.
This one of my biggest peeves. PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The whole parking lot and they park next to you.

Sleep mode should be a manual thing on your TV. Maybe your inverter gets hot and shuts off temporarily?

RE: New to rv'ing with 2 questions

We go back and forth on the water heater thing. My wife would rather keep it on becuase you need to remember to turn it on before all showers and washing dishes. I prefer to turn it off and save the propane.
